Herschel Hewitt emerges from the darkness, his body jerking as if controlled by invisible strings. Agent Washington fires her weapon at Herschel, but the bullets vanish into thin air. In a flurry of motion, it was easy to miss the garden shears in puppet Herschel's hands. And in truth, Agent Washington only saw the shears as they opened and then closed around Nathan Mars throat. Time seems to float and slow as Herschel continues to force the shears close until, with a pop, Nathan Mars' head separates from his lifeless body and rolls to the side. He strikes a smile filled with remembered history, then collapses.
