Politicians don't know how to fix the gun problem, says CNN's John Sutter. The assault weapons ban had absolutely nothing to do with lowered rates of gun violence either in presence or absence, he adds. And we're left with this foolishness where nothing actually makes sense logically, but we deal with these things on an emotive level and it never seems to work well.
