The Utility Function of Non Human Automated Agents
In the short term, there's already the issue of psychopaths and sociopaths can be extremely good at faking all of the cues. But projecting into the future one of the things we talk about in later chapters of the book is that non human automated agents, computation based agents, don't have their utility function written on their head. One of the things that we talk about some is the idea of an agent splitting their cognition between the opaque off chain portion and a small one chain portion whose purpose is to be completely transparent.
