Smoker annuity paradox and addiction challenge

Research conducted by insurance company Royal London Ireland has found that quitting smoking – and vaping – can reduce the cost of your life insurance by half.

Ireland has seen a rise in e-cigarette use, with 8% of the population now using them daily in comparison to just 3% in 2016. However, there are concerns that many people don’t realise they’re considered a smoker when using e-cigarettes and thus don't include it when applying for insurance.
