Jessica Drew has a biological secretion from specialized glands in her hands and feet, presumably they're vying for space with the pheromones glands. Exhuded for her glands would need to quickly permeate the pores of the targeted surface. It would need an immediately dry forming a solid grip between her digits and the material in less than a second. The character was created by Archie Goodwin who passed quite some time ago.
