This was overall a good performance from Sabalenko but it did drop off pretty dramatically from five left. I didn't think she ever found that level again in the match. She hit an incredible rhythm for those first five games and that was assisted by the fact that Sloane Stevens could not handle the power. The next five games were a real whirlwind of unforced errors. Matt said, which generally speaking is a sentence I would always agree with, this match, it's all on the Sabalenko's racket. That was my take on it anyway rather than just a sort of binary drop off from theSabalenko 3.0 level.
