Why Did Kennedy Send A4 Skyhawks to Cuba?
There was no chance to turn it back at this point for a number of reasons, mainly that the ships are on the way and about to land. This is why they hate John Kennedy, because not only did he cancel the second round of airstrikes, but he also refused to save them when he had A4 Skyhawks right there That could clearly have saved them if he'd wanted to. But again, it goes back to the way he thought about this: What purpose is there to have a covert operation if you turn it into an overt American operation?
