I think students are often genuinely moved at the prospect of, to put it in just the general technical term, Kant's transcendentalism. I mean, clearly Kant is tapping into something true and right about human longings that we have a desire to make the world a little bit better. And so, if we can get our students to recognize that, that agency and freedom actually is a, you know, it's a nobling of our existence and it can be deeply satisfying in that sort of way, I think it can help.
