I think he's a tremendous compassion and humanity and interest in people. And so I don't think he would be frightened of trying to get under the skin of a character he thought was interesting. But that might mean he isn't perfect at representing these characters. Different cultures do produce different kind of psychological makeup. He saw the commonalities between people more.
