Byard Ruston's Influence on the Civil Rights Movement

Walter and byard ruston were partners until byard's death in 19 87. Walter still lives in the same apartment in new york where he lived with byard all those years ago. It's also where byerd did so much of the planning for the march on washington back in 19 63, which you could say was his crowning achievement. 250 thousand people from all over the country coming to washington, d c, on a single day. Beyond that one event, his influence on the civil rights movement and on martin luther king junior in particular, was huge - though it often goes overlooked.
