What's the Role of Sharing Information?

Some organizations are restricting their release of information, thinking that they can cash in on it. It's really a crime against humanity if therer is useful information that isunavail to the people who could apply it and make the world a better place. Some times it's just, you coulnd say, laziness. Or on various organizations parts that they have some information, and if you know how to search, you might be able to find it on their red site. But i find it often very difficult to access information.
