I'm just worried about the analogy breaking down at the point where like when you're making an illegal chess move, that's more analogous to like, you shall not fly without the aid of a machine. We seem to have a strong sentiment that if you don't understand something, then you're not blame worthy, right? If you're just stupid, then that's different than being malicious. But Aristotle really had, you know, to be morally upright, you have to be wise. You have to understand things. And he analyzes this breakdown between intellectual and what is sometimes translated as moral virtues.
