Many critics have looked at sonnet 20 and said, aha, you see this means shakespeare was not attracted to the young man. He says, she pricked thee out for women's pleasure. And yes, prick was used to mean penis in the sixteenth century. So in someShakespeare is saying, i am attracted to you. I feel passion for you. But he says, there is one thing, the fact that you have male ganitalia. That means that, therefore, i won't have sex with you.
