The Right Framework for Founders?

The greatest founders, I think of like Parker Conrad at Rippling seemed to find a way to get behind that kind of event horizon. Do you really want to spend your time banging your hand against the wall of a market or an opportunity that doesn't really exist? Or is it worth your time to actually figure out in advance what kind of market should I be building and what opportunity should I be pursuing? There's usually a big opportunity in a market where there's low NDS.
