The Role of Facial Features in Social Perception

Research has shown that within 100 milliseconds of exposure to an individual's face that predicts time unconstrained judgment. So the same kind of judgment is made about a face with given unlimited time as when given 100 milliseconds. And so we do make up our minds quite quickly. That doesn't mean that those are permanent by any means, but they're sticky and can be difficult to change.
