The Intuition of Genetic Diversity

The average distance of the eyes and shape of the lips is a statistical average. This was discovered, not far from here, in the late 19th century by Galton. The explanation people use for this is that it might be an indicator of genetic diversity. So we have a popular notion that children of mixed-race couples often are regarded as beautiful. And this sort of idea, and that inbred families are not as beautiful.
