The Legend of Sleepy Hollow - Billy Butcherson

Ichabod Crane, Billy Butcherson costumes were inspired by a book I used to read all the time as a kid called The Legend of Sleepy Hollow. And so that's pretty much where that came from. But with the three girls, we, you know, we, I wanted all this fabulous color because of looking at all these backgrounds of the classic Disney animations. It just doesn't look like black and white in any sense whatsoever. They're very hand-dyed; Maryetta Lang died them on her kitchen floor using Shabori stenciling technique.
