The people i know who are prone to conspiracy seems to be very afraid. So a conspiracy rationalizes ignorance, doubt. It is really the underlying identity of i am some one who understands how the world works, while everyone else is deluded. I wonder if it is just beliefs or identity. Ritso thers does work on people who believe in conspiracies. Or if you believe in one conspiracy, you are more likely to believe in all sorts of other conspiracies right?
