The Desperation of a Detainee
Many of the men were really suffering mentally, some so severely that they tried to harm themselves. The suicide rate inside the prisons kind of reflect that torture that people were having mentally. There was some period of withdrawal or depressions as well but it was very common for people to attempt suicide. Every now and then a video made by a detainee would be smuggled out and offered just a glimpse of life inside this facility like this one.
