Paroleoplastik Syndromes - Are We Missing Them?
Recent studies suggest that about 1 in 300 or so cancers are associated with a Paroleoplastik syndrome. But epidemiological studies probably place that these are being picked up at about sort of 1 in 100,000. There's clearly a mismatch there between those figures, and that suggests that some of these syndromes are not being detected. Some centers are perhaps more proactive, detecting these more frequently, and then other regions as an under-diagnosis.
