How to Be an Investor Advisor
The first part is you better have a very firm idea where you're going to add value. In this ego-driven business that we're in, you find people taking these advisory positions in disciplines or verticals that they have no experience in. The investor does their self-addiservice as well, not only on the financial side, but timing. You can spend so much time advising any individual startup. And if it's not something in your wheelhouse, then not only are you reducing their chance of success and your time to cash, but you're wasting your own time.
