Is It a Good Idea to Have a Bad Day?
Every city in history is dirty, dangerous. There are plagues and diseases. Like all e early modern states, estamoto had virtually no sensation. People often lived together in close proximity, allowing for the rapid spread of disease. Devastating plagues were frequent. In the summer of 14 67, so many people died that bodies left unburied because the was one left to bury them. Many thousands died in the plagues of 14 92, 15 86 and 15 98. Other diseases also struck, like smallpox in 17 85, when many royal babies died in the palace. This hospital complex also served as an educational institution, rather like teaching hospitals in britain to day.
