The Effects of Inequality

I think inequality has got a lot to do with the development of the other problems. A whole range of health and social problems get worse in more unequal societies. The effects of inequality are biggest amongst the poor, but even fairly well off people can be affected by it. There is less social mobility, movement up and down, or social hierarchy,. More residential segregation, and all the problems with what we call social gradients thatare at the bottom of society.
