The Problem With Divine Conceptualism
Divine conceptualism can avoid the bootstrapping problem, it seems to me. By denying the existence of uncreated abstract objects, Welty would preserve divine assaity. If theist feels the force of arguments for realism about mathematical objects, propositions, and so on, conceptualism would seem a more attractive option than absolute creationism. Still, whether various objects normally taken to be abstract can plausibly be construed as concrete objects, namely divine thoughts.
