The Politics of Paul
Some of the earliest followers of Jesus saw themselves as Jewish and never intended to break away. Paul's claim that he received revelation directly from God not through another authority is kind of a pretty wild claim because like this is still a time. When people are tracking and naming how they receive their authority through other people. And so for Paul to be like nope. No one like just God. It's kind of. I don't love it right. He doesn't quite know what to do. We're again getting this really political distinctly political claim that Jesus is Lord and not Caesarso that kind of articulation is is political it continues to be political.
