We're either in the rain shadow or we're severed from ourselves, he says. The problem with that is we're still bound into a particular way of thinking which keeps cutting us in half and disappointing us by some felt lack. Heidegger: Why don't you doubt power as well? Right? That should be subject to the hermene. And so those things, to my mind, all fit together. You get the valorization of power and of course, technocracy and technology as our surrogate God... I regard that whole framework as so radioactive and toxic that attempts to reformulate it are doomed.
