This scene invites the viewer to ogle a naked 14-year-old and then tells that viewer not to feel bad about it because she is woman. Because her body is so developed, you don't need to think about her emotional maturity or her ability to consent. It doesn't bother me that Balero is a porny vanity project. If that's all it was, it would be sort of charming. What bothers me is that it advocates for adults sexualizing a 14-year old girl and treating her as equivalent to an adult. I want to live in a world in which the movies can portray a wider and deeper array of adult sexuality than they currently do. And that includes
