The Importance of Transference Love
The 1915 essay called on transference love is absolutely masterful and completely devastating. Don't take this as like the definitive Freudian statement on transference, although it does contain I think some of that. Transference is fundamentally about resistance, not exclusively, but but it is about resistance. It's important to distinguish between positive and negative transference.
