I'm amazed because the drug was selected to block HIV attachment. And so you would think it's a different part of the protein that's functional in memory linking, right? So it's really pretty lucky that it worked. But what they do say at some point in this whole paper is that this is not the only mechanism to link memories and there's presumably other molecular mechanisms as well.
