System's biology is oriented at a high level of anal ces. It takes huge amount of data and processing it in such a way that a holistic picture emerges. This requires understanding all the various barameters of immune function, understanding the mediators which are involved. There have been a few cases wherea sum of predictive value has been obtained in so there is promise that this is going to work. But as i've said before, the data is simply enormous and extremely variable.
