The Myth of Cisophus
In The Myth of Cisophus, Camus says there is but one truly serious philosophical problem. By suicide, apart from the physical act, his main concern is what he calls 'philosophical suicide' He stresses that existentialism must be heistic since most people believe in a ready-made belief system such as God. This relieves anxiety about life's uncertainty and randomness. But it also gives us no real reason to conclude that all our struggles will ever amount to anything.
