The average home to day is one thousand square feet larger than what it was in the 19 seventies. Homes are generally better, more insulated and come with all sorts of accoutrements that homes in 19 seventys didn't come with. The rate of the interest rate on borrowing, until recently, was very low. And so when i remortgaged my my apartment two years ago, i think i locked in a three % interest rate which was much lower than what it would have been in te 19 70s. So all of those things combined give you a picture the housing actually, relative to wages, is not getting more expensive. That's not true of education and health care
