The Threat of Reductionism in the Free World of Events

There's all kinds of reduction that I think is happening in the free world of events. So what about compatibilists who are convinced? They see the threat, the dilemma, and they think, okay, let's abandon reduction or the project of reduction. One option is to not worry so much about abilities. These views don't ultimately appeal to abilities to explain what free will is. Free will seem to be about abilities, right? It's about agent of modality. And it's about possibility that's characteristic of agents as opposed to other kinds ofmodality.
