The problem with the way we've designed AI so far is that machines are trying to make us more machine-like and single-minded. And you're saying we need to start making machines fundamentally less machine-like, less literal-minded. What I think what we're trying to create is something that we don't have any models for, right? Something that is both more powerful than ourselves and yet completely within our control.
