Apple is now the most valuable company per market cap in the world. It started by cultivating press, closing off there a, you know, access to hostile reporters. And they figured out about 20 years ago that they could do this because they were so popular.

Paris Marx is joined by Brian Merchant to discuss the development of the iPhone, how Apple manages the press, and how the parts of the company’s supply chain that get too little attention.
