The Importance of Paris in the History of Art

Saffo Chadwick's new book is about the history of art and women in particular. She looks at how Paris was an important crossroads for artists from French Revolution up to Second World War. The Well of Loneliness by Radcliffe Hall banned in Britain but celebrated in France.
