It's hard to sort of pinpoint exactly when this text would have been written. It's not out of the realm of possibility that there are other moments in Israel and Judas past, where they would have encountered the great literature of Babylon and Assyria. There's certainly something about this sort of communal aspect of sacrifice that is also playing in here.
