The History of Dark Matter

We know dark matter was made at the same time as all those other particles, when the energy in the early universe coalesced into the different fields. We think there was even more dark matter early on, and some of it converted into normal matter. Yet, dark matter ruled for about nine billion years. Then something happened, the dark energy revolution took over. And so now dark energy is completely dominate, 70 % of the energy of the universe. It could turn out that dark energy is much more ated than we imagine. For example, maybe it's going to turn around and cause a big crunch.
