By 19 80, we had a wiring diagram for the stematic astric nervous system and people,. There were wiring diagrams for a number of other small nervous systems ofcentral patent generators. And it was pretty clear that they were all different - though some of the motor patterns they produced were pretty similar. So you can't understand how a sicret works without a wiring diagram. Not everything is possible.
