Is It Better or Worse to Be an Offense or a Defensive Liability?

Russell Westbrook can't shoot that's its own problem but if you run offense through Russell Westbrook he can still pressure the rim and make passes with a live dribble. Matisse Thiebel is a modern example of this where it's a player who basically can't shoot and then his actual on ball possessions don't really help extend advantages or create breakdowns by themselves. Jared Vanderbilt is so interesting because he is a non-shooter which will create issues for the Lakers and things like that. Anthony Davis is really at this point in the league kind of a non-Shooter as well  because teams will be like yeah you want to take your 32 percent three-point shot or whatever
