The Importance of Faith in Music
I think my parents took their faith very seriously and they weren't hypocritical, you know, because there's a common strain of holier-than-now fundamentalist Christians who are not only devout but use it as a weapon to judge other people. And so I feel like the lessons that they tried to impart on us about character and what it means to be a good human being were informed by their faith,. But for them it was also informed by all kinds of things.
