The Trial of Gero

Gero told the group he just wanted their gas, but he had a criminal record and couldn't risk getting caught. So he was going to tie them all to trees to make sure they didn't rat him out. One by one, Gero had the four friends tie one another to trees while he watched. He made sure to leave several feet of distance between the trees so that none of the captives could see each other. Eventually, he reached the first tree where 18-year-old Phil was tied up; he lowered his gun and pulled out a buckknife.
