The idea that when an athlete appears on the cover of sports illustrated or the madden game, something bad will happen to that athlete. So i got interested in trying to see whether they could draw out any statistical relationship here. And it was, i ha say, statistically insignificant. It didn't look like they were any more likely to play fewer games in that season than in any other given their age and age profile. In other words, it's not a curse. It's just math.
