Women Are Not to Be Silent in the Church

In 1 Timothy 5, Paul says that women are to be silent in the church. They're not allowed to teach and they aren't allowed to exercise authority. Women were really quite active in Paul's own ministry,. That's remarkable. There's another passage though that is equally important but is very different. It's in a letter that Paul really did write in one of the 7th and 7th Corinthians.
