The Story of Frank Yenser
Ogden was the junction for railroad travel into the inner mountain west. The station opened in july of 18 89, but after a few decades, locals complained that it was too small and too dark. They wanted something bright and modern - union pacific didn't want to spend more money so they decided to repair the building. On february 26, 19 23, frank yenser went to work as a cashier at the station while construction workers repaired its clock tower. Just before two p m, a gust of wind blew one of the decorative stone cones loose from the roof which landed on top of frank's head killing him instantly.
