The Importance of Energy for Africa's Future
Because of its climate vulnerability, Africa's climate fight is about adaptation and resilience. Many poor countries are already far ahead of the West when it comes to transitioning to a low-carbon energy system. In Kenya, where I'm from, we generate most of our electricity carbon-free. Rich and high-emitting countries must uphold their responsibility to lead under carbonization.
