The Fighting in the Khartou Fans and the Blue Naam
The RSF and Army have been fighting in northern Khartoufan for the control of the capital through which a major oil pipeline from South Sudan passes. The Army is also fighting both the RSF and Sudan's People's Liberation Movement led by Abdulaziz Al-Hilou. SPLM North forces were left over on the northern side of the border after Sudan and South Sudan separated more than 10 years ago. They had a mutual sort of de facto truce between the Army and these SP LM North forces, so they hadn't fought any major battles in several years.
