If you instead of drilling down into kind of the signal processing level of the senses, if instead of that you stay in the content level, it also functions as a psychological practice. And so this deconstructing yourself way of working is so cool because it makes room for both of those and that helps to grow up apart as well as the wake up part. So I think it's more integrative in that way.
Michael Taft, a long-time meditation teacher, author, and founder of Deconstructing Yourself blog and podcast, discusses the stages of personal development and the awakening path, deconstructing reality, and the benefits of a regular meditation practice.
