Central Bank Digital Currency - What's the Point of Subsidizing It?
If I want to get a central bank digital currency, do I have it in my Fed account? If you can get that through Congress and through the Federal Reserve, that would be quite a political accomplishment. Some of the big advocates of Fed accounts say we ought to subsidize it. And again, what's the point of that? What's the marginal value?
