Is Population Growth the Right Way to Go?
I don't see that problem so much coming up when our global population would decline. If the additional human is a cost, then obviously you don't want costs. I think that that basic instinct of whether humans are basically good, fundamentally good in some sense and therefore, you know, having more humans is in some way a sign of the success of our species? That's the kind of broad assumption that I'm trying to draw out here. And it plays out in different ways as in the course of history, I guess.
